Watershed day today. On a gloriously sunny late winter's day in Wellington, 75 cases of the finest output of Nøgne Ø, Meantime, Flying Dog and Rogue were lovingly de-palleted and hand carried down the stairs to their home for the next three or so weeks. We also started making a few of the minor alterations to the interior that we think will make the bar more spacious and comfortable. Please excuse the grainy camera-phone picture.
I can almost taste it! There's been a lot of buzz about Nøgne Ø - I'm hoping there is some left by the time I get down for Beervana.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry Greig - we'll only be open for "previews" before Beervana.
ReplyDeleteSo the bar will be up and running for Beervanna weekend then? Looking forward to the visit.
ReplyDeleteI'm super exicted about this bar opening, can't wait! I don't know if you have plans to bring anymore beer in from Norway but if you do, you should look at importing some juleøl or Christmas beer. They were by far the most interesting beers I had during my time in Norway.
ReplyDeleteActually I made a bit of mistake in my last comment. I should have said that julebrygg or christmas brew was the most interesting Norwegian beer style not juleøl.
ReplyDeleteSorry!
